SLS solutions is looking for a gis technician/analyst for work on fiber to the home project. Pay based on experience, temp position could turn to long term, looking for someone who can grow with the company.

Primary responsibilities:

- Digitize, create and maintain fiber to the home networks using ESRI ArcGIS Desktop software
- Perform simple spatial and data queries to obtain information from the GIS Database.
- Complete special requests by utilizing existing data, analyzing results, and producing MAPS to help installs and other Business needs for clients.
- Coordinate with Field Inspectors to digitize fiber infrastructure.
- Cartographic work and customized maps.
- GIS Data Entry and Editing.
- GPS data collection (mapping grade)
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualification:

- B.S in Geography or equivalent GIS experience
- Knowledge of ESRI GIS software products, especially ArcGIS 9.X desktop
- Knowledge of GIS techniques such as map production and editing are a MUST
- Experience working with GPS units
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel is a Must
- Some knowledge of SQL and can write basic queries
- Experience working with RDMS is a Plus
